All contributions, including financial and in-kind services, help make our programs available for all when they need them the most. We could not function without the generous and ongoing support of individuals, businesses, foundations and grants.

Laura’s Legacy Scholarship
The Laura’s Legacy Scholarship is a testament to the profound impact that one person can have on the lives of others. It is named after Laura Coats, a beloved teacher and philanthropist who had a soft spot for the Cancer Support Community’s mission and for education. We are honored to continue her legacy by each year, offering three deserving students this scholarship, aiding them in their pursuit of higher education. The recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated commitment to community service, leadership, and personal achievements, reflecting the qualities of strength, hope, and perseverance that Laura herself embodied.
The Laura’s Legacy Scholarship is more than just financial assistance; it’s a testament to the power of community support and the enduring impact of individuals who inspire others through their bravery and actions. By investing in the education and future of these young individuals, the scholarship ensures that Laura’s legacy continues to inspire and positively affect the lives of others.
